Frank Sinatra once saved my life. Two guys were beating me to death, until Frank said, "That's enough."

There will never be another like him.

Some music I was listening to on Youtube has just finished, think I will put on some Frank now.

I absolutely love his "tea break (monologue)" from the Sinatra at the Sands (with Count Basie & his Orchestra) album. A real performer, definitely at home on the stage, or in a bar :thumbup1:

He was far and away the best among many good ones of that era: Tony Bennett (a close second, though), Jerry Vale, Steve Lawrence, Eddie Fisher, and several others. All great in their own ways, but nobody could do it like that self-professed saloon singer from Joisey. He will always be missed.

I love the line about the pumpkin farm.

I will have to put on one of the Rat Pack Live at the Sands cds I have here in a bit. The songs he and Dean Martin used to butcher during those performances are some of my favorite things to listen to.
