Hand Made Fire Place

Anyone have or know of a manufacturer that they would recommend that makes portable fireplaces? I use to see commercials of supposedly hand made Amish ones that looked nice.

Any recommendations and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Do you want it because you want to sit in front of a fire or because you want it to heat a room in the house?

We have a nice formal fireplace but a model home that our builder had came with one of these fireplaces in the master bathroom. We pulled it out and there are no markings of a manufacturer but the thing looked well made and looked nice. It is electric with a fire simulation/glow but I did see heating rings inside. I'd like to have it in our master bedroom. The office manager said that it wasn't an option so they didn't know who made itand only the decorator that was used would know where it was picked up from.

I saw some at Home Depot but not as nice but would like to know how well they work.

That whole Amish fireplace thing was a scam to sell over priced and under performing electric space heaters. Don't do it.

If it's just for looks, there are nice ones available at Lowes or Home Depot.
If it is heat you're looking for, there are much better options, like an oil filled electric radiator.
