Just wanted to share something. My brush is a 24mm WhippedDog Silvertip, set at 45mm loft.
I like it a lot. I have rather hard water where I live and there was quite a bit of soap residue on the bristles and I could have swore that there were a bristle or two that gave me an occasional scritch.
I shampooed the brush a few time and then applied a bit of conditioner - but just on the tips of the brush. I didn't want to soften the back bone as I noticed that if I soak the brush in water when I shower it becomes a little floppy so I just give it and a good rinse in hot water before the shave.
Back to cases, after that shampoo/conditioner, the brush tips became wonderfully soft, scritch was gone and the brush as a whole started to work just better.
FWIW, I used matrix shampoo/conditioner, the light blue ones.
