Guys, shaving twice a day?

I read recently that Ian Fleming distrusted men who shaved twice a day, and he placed such characters as villains in his Bond books.

But this got me thinking. In a forum like this, dedicated to guys who really love to shave, there must be some of you who shave twice a day every day.

Any Goldfingers out there?

I will if I have to, I shaved last night and then again this morning just a pass to knock the tops off. technically not the same day but twice in less than 24 hrs.

I have done it a few times. If I shave early in the morning and then have a big event that night, I will shave before going out. My beard grows really fast and the 5 O'clock shadow is fairly prominent by the end of the day no matter the shave that morning.

I have a thin fine beard, originally blond but now gray, so I only "need" to shave every other day but I shave every day anyway. I can feel stubble the next day even though it is not really "visible"

Those with a dark thick beard may need to shave twice a day and even after shaving their dark beard makes them look like they still need to shave

Yep, I'm that guy. It's like painting the Sydney Harbour Bridge - as soon as I finish my 4th pass, I need to start shaving again.

My friend DE shaves twice per day...but he often complains that no matter how smooth his shaves were and how well his regiment, his face always feels "raw", if you will. He is highly learned when it cums to wet shaving, so his prep and post-shave routine are impeccable. However, the speed of his beard growth makes it necessary at times to shave two times per day when an event at night forces him to look his best. I always joke with him and tell him he is lucky to have the honor of shaving two times per day, but he said no matter how luxurious the experience, it's not all it is cracked up to be.

If I do, I use a Tech for the 2nd and just 1 pass. My main shaver is oc so rarely do I need to shave 2 x's. of course ymmv.

Another one in that category. Black hair + thick stubble + a complexion that would nicely show the dark facial hair = "did you shave today?" face by evening. Although, DE shaving has helped me prolong the time it takes for my facial hair to cast the 5'o clock shadow by a few hours!

Add me to the club. My 5 o'clock shadow is usually around by 9am... but I have sensitive skin and shaving twice a day is not a sustainable option, though I have shaved twice within 24 hrs on occasion (e.g. Sunday night before an event, and then first thing Monday the morning for work).

I shave twice a day on Tuesdays and Thursdays (only because the following day I get up at 4 am to go play racquetball).

Luckily I don't have a dark beard (becoming gray these days) so it isn't too noticeable 24hrs after a BBS shave. I can go 48 hrs between shaves and my skin seems to prefer that for the most part since I have pretty sensitive skin yet the beard is pretty coarse. If I try to do BBS style shaves too many days in a row my skin lets me know it's not too happy. I usually alternate days with a headshave so I get my shave quotient in one way or another. :cool1:

No way I could shave twice in one day - Fact is, if I didn't enjoy shaving I could go at least 2 days for both head and face.

Beard is wiry, but slow growing, hair grows faster (except on top...)

Like some others, I've done it once in a while, but I can't see making it a habit. In order to do so, I think I would have to drop to 2 pass light shaves each time just to save face, literally. lol
