Guerlain Cologne du 68

Got a decant of this today. It is a nice scent. It is powdery and has a nice iris note included. I think it smells very nice - a combination of traditional + modern. Definitely has that Guerlain thing going on.

Anyone else try this? I can see how some might find it a bit feminine (it is classified as unisex) because of the powder note.

I have given Cologne du 68 a few more wearing this weekend. It is definitely Guerlain - with the good ole Guerlinade. I prefer it to Habit Rouge. I prefer it to L'Instant EDT. I like LIDGE better but LIDGE is a gourmand evening scent. Cologne du 68 is more, to me, an everyday scent in a multipurpose way. Similar to my HG, Dior Homme, in that way.

Only downside is weak sillage. Very close to the skin, which sometimes I like (office) and sometimes I don't. This is one of those 3-4 spray minimum scents, and I'm a guy who usually under sprays.

I like Cd68 all right, but I'm not crazy about it. I'd rather wear Habit Rouge any day, or Sous le Vent, especially. I even had my decant of Cd68 on the BST for a while but there were no takers. It's a fantastic fragrance, don't get me wrong, but I've always thought that Guerlain did better.

I have a decant that i've worn once...wasn't that impressed. just smelled like a generic guerlain scent. there wasn't anything interesting to draw me in, though i may have to try it a few more times...

WEaring it again tonight and I really like the smell, just annoyed by the lack of silage and longevity. I don't like some of the other classic Guerlains because they smell either old woman or old man with that animalic crap. To me Cd68 is like a modern version of Guerlain classics.
