Great Travel Shaving Foam/Lotion

I'm new to the DE shaving scene and have been browsing the site a lot. One thing I have been looking for is travel shaving items. I don't want to give up that great shave on the road ... but don't want to pack the whole den!

Anyway - I saw a Neutrogena Shave Cream in the store. Not very expensive. It isn't a foaming product ... more of a lotion. But - provided great protection. I did a double pass yesterday with my Schick injector ... not bad at all.

Anyone else use this ?

I see and use a lot of Neutrogena products but I haven't yet tried that shave cream. My solution when travelling is a simple shave stick. Compact, doesn't leak, great lather and pretty much unbreakable.......... does the job for me!

I tried it but really didn't like it. Felt slimey and gave me a lousy shave. I tend toward The Real Shaving Co creams(riteaid) or The Body Shop Maca Root. Both are avaiable in tubes the same size as the Neutrogena and you can lather them with just your finger and water. RSC cream smells slightly tea tree oilish but fades very fast, TBS Maca smells like clean linen an fades fast. Disclaimer-Scent are entirely subjective!! RSC cream is cheaper at $5.99 reg and often buy one get one or some other offer. TBS is I think $9.99 a tube. Just my thoughts, hope it helps!

I tried the Neutrogena Sensitive shave cream, and found it to be thinner than I liked. I also tried the Neutrogena Skin Clearing shave cream, and it worked really well for me. It's thicker than the Sensitive version, and very, very slick. It is a brushless cream, so don't try to use a brush with it.

Another suggestion, I picked up several small tubs with screw-on lids at The Container Store, like this. They're very similar to the containers that some company's send samples in, only these are a little bigger. I can get more than a weeks worth of shaves out of one of these, so I throw 2 or 4 into my dopp kit, and I;m easily ready for a week long trip. The nice thing is, I can use whatever shavig creams I want to travel with this way.
