Great little shaving bowl! CHEAP

Hey guys! I've been in the market for shaving bowls for a couple weeks now (As I'm a newb and need to collect these things). Well, I started to look in the artisan marketplaces, and I realized putting "Shave" in the search yields nothing cheaper than, say, 40 bucks after shipping.

Well, I decided to exclude shave and search for small blue bowl (as that's the color I wanted), and found a cool guy, Jay, who fit the bill perfectly.

5 bucks for a handmade, very nice looking shave bowl? Sold.

Also, I invited him to come check out the site, and maybe get into shaving like a man.

Great bowl and price, but shipping seems a little high for me. Would 2 of those fit in a Small Flat Rate box?

Very nice bowls, classy. If he put some textured swirls like you see in a scuttle he could sell them for $14.00. Then it is easier to whip up the lather. I like them!

They look nice, but $8.00 for shipping. Why don't you just go to WALMARTS and buy a blue ceral bowl.

For $13 dollar total, It's still the cheapest high quality, hand made bowl I've seen around. If you want to go give money to walmart, then no hand made item will dissuade you, because it'll always be cost prohibitive. Personally, I like spending a few extra dollars to see someone's name written on the bottom of my bowl.

I agree, Cap, texture would help, but I've used it twice now and it lathers fine, even if it takes an extra swirl or two. Very happy with my $13 purchase! Give this man some business!

Also, Let me say, the 8 dollar shipping was worth it. I've never seen ceramics packaged this well for shipping. It might be hard to look at, but the actual cost of shipping was $5+ and there was atleast 3 dollars worth of saftey involved in making sure I got an entire bowl on the other side. It's hand made! It needs to be taken care of!

Don't listen to me, drop the THIRTEEN dollars and see for yourself!

Also, I've talked to him, he should be stopping over at the forums at some point. Might make a shaving bowl and shaving mug line.

I just think it's funny. If he charged 13 dollars and free shipping, there wouldn't be one complaint about the cost.
