What's new

Got my display up!

I finally hung the cup shelves that my mother gave me about 6 months ago. It's likely to be a continuous work in progress, as it's only been up 14 hours and I've changed it about 10 times.:lol: Some of the spaces are just nice razors to display, some have a theme, I left out most of the cases since it's not really meant to be a museum piece, just something fun to look at. (Do I really need to have 3 cased Micromatics taking up three spaces? Well, ya I do, but space is limited:wink:)
I hope you like it.

Look at all those beauties! Very nicely done!
I hope your area does'nt have tremors to knock over those that are standing!

Now, where did you put the cups?

Thanks guys! I'm looking at it and still wondering if I should change some razors out, or add some Old Spice stuff. Maybe I'll just have to keep myself on a month to month display.:001_smile

We get the occasional earth tremor, but I think it's been like 5 years since the last one:wink: The house I moved from last winter was close enough to a mine that the upstairs would rock about one per month due to a large blast:eek:

Andy,

That is a great display case, and some really nice looking razors and sets. I like that it is sort of a mix of collectibles and working razors and brushes. It also looks like it is intended for the items to change from time to time as you mix up your working razor rotation. It's looks like a combination display/work station. Very nice! Thanks for sharing!

Very nice display! I like the smaller display, it gives you plenty of opportunity to change things up. I see that you are an SE fan, as well.

Andy, beautifully done. And the nice thing is there is nice depth to each cubby. It not overcrowded and each piece can be appreciated fully. This should bring you much joy. Well done!

Great looking display! Where did you install it?

Very nice!:thumbup1::thumbup1:

But i wouldn't risk to have all those razors in the upright position...

I'm thinking the standing razors should be fine. If they fell it would only be to the shelf that they are sitting on, not all the way to the floor. The first layout I did had only cased razors and some laying on their side. It looked very, well... flat:wink: Standing some up added a lot of personality to the display. I did have an Old Spice mug with soap and matching era bottle with the juice in one spot, but I got paranoid that I would come home to my beloved OS making the carpet smell very nice:117:

I put it up on a wall that has the bathroom right behind it. If I feel like grabbing a razor, it'll be just around the corner.:cool: This way I keep my stuff close, and guests get to ask questions about it while not, uh, busy:lol:
