Good deal on Tabac at Amazon

I already posted this over in the Shopping and Deals forum but thought I would post it here too.

I was looking at an order to see when it would arrive and I noticed that Tabac soap refills were a little more than $8 on Amazon. It looks like shipping is not too bad from the seller either. I don't know if that helps anyone but thought I would pass it on.

I am almost tempted to try it out myself!

It looked like a good deal, but when I got to the checkout the shipping had increased from $2.50 to $8.40! I don't know how that happened. That was with the cheapest shipping too, so I didn't buy any.

Shipping for me went to $5.45....whacky.

I could not see any restrictions on amount of the order either...

Maybe a note to Amazon asking what is up.

Only a couple bucks more at Bullgooseshaving, I would rather purchase from a good guy and a vendor I know I can trust.

The best price for tabac I've seen yet is at parfum1.com $12.50 with jar and $9.50 refill with free shipping over $100. They also have a link on there website where if you refer a friend they email you an instant coupon for $5 that you can use immediately. I placed a big order last week and received 5 jars of tabac with jar and 4 refills for only $95 to my door after discounts. What a bargain! I purchased enough to gift my dad and uncles for Christmas. I've spent that much on 1 NOS soap before.

Most places change S&H rates depending on how far away you are from their sort facility. I don't know why people sound so shocked. It is definitely a bummer, though, when they reel you in like that.

For those of us in the UK that like our Tabac, I've seen a couple of good offers with the puck being £5 plus a couple of quid postage on eBay. The seller seems to also sell on Amazon. Not bad given that the refill is very hard to find in the UK.

Of course, there's always fragrancex.com and the free shipping option.
