Gold Futur Razor wow what a beast

I have just received a Gold Merkur Futur from a trade with a member from straight razor place. Also along with the razor I got the matching Gold silvertip brush out of the deal and I must say im pretty impressed. I was able to achieve bbs on my first shave with it today but also achieved one cut and a weeper. This razor truly is the description of a tank its very heavy which makes me laugh because before this I thought my Fatboy was a tank. As well ive never have had the experience of a silver tip brush and i must say to all of you that have not tried a silver tip you need to go get one!!! here's a picture of this beauty i just thought i would share my experience

What number did you have it set on and with what blade? I am still loving my futur and seem to keep it between 2 and 3, depending on the blade.

You need a gold bowl to complete the set up.

Like shaving with a dumbbell ? Well that razor is awesome let it do the work, I settled at 1.5 which is the great part about it, everybody is different and when you find the setting for you it's a machine

anyone know where a gold bowl is??? lol i started at a 3 with a feather in it for my first pass but put it on a 1.5 for my following passes it did awesome
