Going on a one week holiday to Bali (Question)

Hey guys, as the title says, I'm going on holidays and wanted to know if anyone knew where I can get some blades in Bali.

Thank you!!

I would check some local shops. If your checking a bag on the flight why don't you take some with you? :)

If your taking a DE you could take it with you while you look for blades so the locals have an idea of what your looking for.

Thanks for that Luc!
ironfist, I am not checking luggage, just carry on. And I don't really want to use cartridges!!!!

Now that your blade question is sorted out, enjoy Bali! I stay in "nearby" Singapore and have had quite a few of my friends visit Bali. All of them come back all sunburned and energetic at the same time! Have fun!

You can pretty much find Gillette blades at convenience stores around Bali, so no worries there....was there in 2010, great waves....have fun and enjoy the sunset !

I suggest you cook the water first to put your brush in, as the water in these countries isn't so good.

I think that's being a bit more cautious than is needed. Unless he is going to be staying in a dingy old bed & breakfast, most decent quality hotels will have water filtration systems and using the pipe water for shaving & showering should be fine.

Being Australian with a brother that lives in Bali I go to Bali quite a bit and I can 100% say that is false. Staying in some little cheap hotel...don't drink the water. Staying at the Hilton or Hard Rock...still DON'T DRINK THE WATER. Always use bottled water for brushing teeth (and cleaning the brush after) ect. We have a saying for it called the Bali Belly and it is no fun you won't be able to decide if sitting on the toilet or hugging it is better for about 4 days. Its rough! so just use bottled water it is super cheap and usually free in decent hotels! Saying that though you'll be fine and enjoy your stay!

PS don't eat the salad that was not washed in bottled water...that got me last time haha!

I've not been to Bali but I've stayed in Holiday Inn Batam (the other side of Indonesia) and never had any issues with the tap water for showering / shaving. I do not know if the water in Bali would be different for the worse compared to Batam, but in any case I guess its the individual who's better suited to judge their susceptibility to waterborne infections.

Thanks guys for all the responses!!!!!

This will be my first time in Bali and YES, do not drink the water. I won't be staying at a cheapo hotel, the one that we will stay at has free bottled water and I think it said something about filtered water, but better safe than sorry. I am only going for 7 days and I don't want to spend 4 days hugging the toilet!!!!

Leave your boogie board bag at home and be prepared to convert to Islam.

That got me on the floor laughing!!!!!

Thanks again, and hopefully I can find some blades there!!! :)
