What's new

Glorioski!

I have been trying to bring a C.V. Heljestrand No. 33 back to life but even after hundreds of strokes on a norton 1K I still couldn't cut arm hair, and under a 20x loupe I could see several chips along the edge. Today I got a DMT 1200, did 20 circles and ten straight strokes and it's cutting hair finally! Under the loupe the bevel looks great! I think I found a new friend. Just thought I'd share. DMT EF :thumbup1:

DMT 1200...the King of bevel setters!

From the photo, in comparison to the DMT11EF, the smaller DMT plate looks like it's the DMT6 rather than the DMT8.

OOPS! You're right! That was apic with it next to my previous bevel setter, which was indeed a 6EF

:blushing:

The pic was from a while back, so I had forgotten what exactly was in there...

Talking about GD.....if i may do so.
Is there a barbers notch over the heel or is it an illusion?
It looks like you can put your thumb there to stabilize the shave :)
Or is it the famous spot?

That is indeed the fabled, and much sought after "Tomahawk Tail"TM

I never thought to put my thumb in there, but I suppose you could...
