Glass or Metal Tea Press?

Any suggestion on a tea "press".

The majority of them are made of glass but I did see some made with metal (stainless steel).

Besides not breaking, do the metal ones have an advantages or disadvantages over glass?

Thanks.

I would vote for metal and never wash it...just rinse it out. Had a metal tea cup at work. For the first month or so I tasted the metal but assiduously avoiding scrubbing it resulted in a lovely tea patina and no further funny tastes. Glass you need to wash as it gets unsightly....so I vote for the easy out.

I prefer glass ones cause you can watch it steep. I'm getting this one--► Royal Ceylon press.
I also want a nice Yixing teapot but have no found the one i want yet.
You all drink Oolong? What's your favorite?

Glass ones tend to be Pyrex (or similar) so they're pretty resilient....just avoid clanging a spoon off them too vigorously

However, I'm a Brit so I'd vote for a proper (china) Tea Pot!

I'm not a Brit, but the best teapots are made, or were made of Staffordshire clay.

You can keep all that Chinese stuff with their famous defective glaze; a thick walled handmade ALB pot from the '70s or '60s, can't be beat.

Example of a two cup. (12oz or 400ml)
