I acquired both AV Musk and AV Ice Blue in glass bottles today, as they switched to plastic recently.

I'll be keeping the bottles. If I buy more of this stuff, it gets transferred and the plastic discarded.

Good plan, a lot of us have done that, also secretly hoarding some glass bottles in case they change something in the recipe,

I have 3 glass bottles of Aqua Velva, but will be decanting into a vintage 1980's bottle, that I found full on the bay. It looks more classy than the most recent glass bottle. I placed some clear acrylic over the label, so that it holds up to exposure from multiple decants.

I just used this stuff... it feels pretty good, but it's a bit of a cold night to be mentholated like this. The scent is pretty nice too, not something I'd want to wear out though; I like exotic stuff

Doing the samething also. I also got some glass bottles of P&G Old Spice before the formula change. I will have to get some of the Dollar General stuff folks say it's close to original OS from Shulton and poor into the glass bottles.

I pulled a bottle from my small inventory. I splashed some on my freshly shaved face, after 5 months of beardom. Word to the wise: you might look kind of odd without sideburns (I look especially odd because I have a receding hairline at 21.) Boy did I ever miss that menthol bomb. I had almost forgot the feeling...

It's the same product as near as I can tell.

I just sniffed the plastic bottle when I was grocery shopping tonight. It smells exactly the same as the juice in the glass bottle, as far as I can tell, although sniffing directly from the bottle probably isn't the most reliable test. Also, I have no idea whether or not the performance has changed. At first glance (or sniff), though, it would seem Combe is being truthful about not changing the formula.

And they really have no reason to actually change the formula. I imagine if they do, we will hear something about "modernizing", and likely all of their products would end up reformulated. But I think all is good (besides the plastic) so long as people keep buying the product as is.

Theoretically, P&G had to reformulate OS when they went to plastic because the older Shulton formula would deteriorate the plastic. I think the fear some people have is AV may present the same problem. Hopefully not.
