Gin Drinks?

Went out looking for something to drink the other night. I could not find a bottle of scotch that I liked so I went with a bottle of New Amsterdam gin. I have had it before and it is very good to my undiscerning palate and it is cheap. I was wondering what gin drinks you guys like. I have been drinking gin and tonics for a couple of days and need something different. Thanks.

I love a nice Gibson. Simple and elegant.

Tanqueray and Hendrick's are my go-to, easy to find gins. But New Amsterdam is actually quite good and I have enjoyed a few bottles along the way.

So what's a good vermouth to go with the gin? I too just bought a bottle of gin, and I really enjoy G&Ts and a nice Tom Collins. The Gibson sounds worth a try.

Tom Collins

1 ounce lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
2 ounces London dry gin
Soda water
Cherry and lemon or orange slice

Shake lemon juice, simple syrup, and gin over ice, and strain into a Collins glass over ice. Top with soda water and garnish with a cherry and a lemon or orange slice.

Martini, Gibson, Fog Horn, Gimlet, gin screwdriver, gin lemonade, gin & ginger ale, gin bloody mary

I'm a big gin drinker and it mixes well with almost anything.

Beefeater on the rocks kept me mellow through 9 days of Hurricane Sandy power outage. Luckily had a generator for the ice. For warm weather I prefer a G&T with a 1/4 lemon squeezed in.

Greyhound and Negroni are two of my faves. The greyhound is fantastic with a healthy dash of Angostura bitters. Grapefruit soda works well too (san pellegrino pompelmo)

Not a huge gin drinker, but a Bombay Sapphire Martini can be wonderful. Also find a gin and tonic quite refreshing once in a while.

Had a Drink called The Musaja, or how its spelled in regular ways. The Messiah. Gin Tonic lime juice and sour mix, with a lime wedge. I cant get enough of em.
