Gillette Tuckaway

Hi there,
I recently acquired this razor and I am not sure the head is correct because I am not seeing a serial number. Is it correct for the razor? Thank you in advance for your comments.
Best regards
Ray

There were no serial numbers in 1927-8 issued I believe.

That may be a New Improved 1928 Tuckaway Silver

Thank you for your response that would explain the lack of a serial number. Looking at the ones you have pictured the base plate is flat and mine is curved. That also give me pause.

I don't think that head belongs with that handle. It's definitely not a New Improved head.

I agree that it looks suspiciously like an Old Type head. As far as I know, the Old Type never came with that Tuckaway handle.

In other words, it's a vintage Frankenrazor.
