Gillette tech tightness

Should a 3 piece snug down with no movement or rattle or should it be just a touch loose?

I make my three pieces snug. I don't want the blade moving around too much. It leaves too much room for nicks.

Nice and tight; it ensures you have the designed blade exposure and keeps it there. If you need the razor to be more aggressive, you can insert a shim below the blade.

Fully snug. The Gillette instructions state you can loosen the handle one sixteenth (1/16) turn for a more aggressive shave.

In Leisureguy's book, he says it should be as tight as a jar of pickles you would take on a picnic. Not so tight that your wife or girlfriend couldn't open it, but tight enough that it won't leak on the way to the park. I thought that was a useful metaphor.

I like to keep them snug. Don't over tighten it though!

Handle is snug but the head still has a little movement....worked great so I guess I am over thinking it
