Gillette Razor bought on Ebay

Recently bought this Razor on Ebay. From my research I think it is a Gillette Flare Tip Super Speed from 1960. F3 code. Can anyone confirm this? Only paid 4.99 + shipping. Cleaned up nice; good shave.

Looks like a fine flare tip SS and a great price! It is a bit mild for my taste. Make sure you eventually try a slim adjustable or fat boy and dial it up for a somewhat closer but just as smooth shave!

Diagnosis correct. I use the black handle flavor once in awhile.

Congrats on your Q3 1960 Super Speed. Millions of faces got their daily shave with a Super Speed back in the day and is a great place to start.
Some folks say that this is all they desire.

A 1960 is a great Super Speed, the looks of the 60s style (different knurling on the TTO) yet still has the higher-dome profile head, 40s and 50s style.

The Gillette flare tip is a great razor. If used correctly it will give a super smooth shaved even with a tough beard. some people say that because it is a mild razor it will not shave you as close if you have a tough beard this is not true.

If you use the Gillette slide technique the razor will shave you close and smooth as any other razor.

A year older than my Super Speed, but otherwise identical. I've been really happy with mine; great find!
