Gillette question

I just purchased a "vintage" Gillette DE. I am not finding an example on mr. Gillette. It is gold in color,marked made in the usa, the bar has two open diamond shapes.anyone have a clue?it is open comb.
I would appreciate the help in my quest!

why yes, yes it does! mine came in a felt box instead of the cardboard. Mine is also very gold,compared to the example you have shown. Not a replate, as it does show use.....but that is the bar,definetly.also came with blade box,so what year (s) are we talking?

Gillette Goodwills are the only ones I recall with diamond studs to hold the blade.

That's a Goodwill, made from 1931-35 according to mr-razor.com (a great resource for images) here is the Goodwill page: http://www.mr-razor.com/Rasierer/Goodwill/Goodwill.htm . I don't think the Goodwill was sold in a felt box, but I may be wrong. I've always admired the one you have, the diamond design looks classy IMHO.
