I received an open comb TTO razor a couple of days ago, but can't work out what it is exactly.
It has the barber pole knurling down the razor the same as a #47, and also has the slightly awkward opening mechanism like people say the 47s have.
On top of that it came in the bare metal box, with the flip up blade holder. (Although the case is in a sad way, all the fabric has been removed so it really is bare metal inside and out, which has meant that there is plating loss tot he razor where its been rattling around for forty years).
But there are a couple of differences.
It has two British patents - 430030 on the handle (just above the turning knob), and 400621 under the head.
It also doesn't have the barber pole knurling on the turning knob, instead it is more like a rocket.

It feels a lot more like my flare tip rocket than my #16 Aristocrat (I haven't weighed it though).
Any thoughts on where it might fit within the British OC TTO family?
