Gillette Astra Superior Platinum

So, I have been DE Shaving for over 2 months now, and I have been experimenting with all kinds of blades, sampler packs or which I have had a few favorites, i.e. Feathers, Blue Med Preps, etc. however I believe I have found THE blade for me, in the Gillette Astra Platinum's. I have found this to be the closest, cleanest, and most forgiving three pass shave thus far. So, last night I ordered a 100 pack of them which is going to last me quite awhile.

+1 Astra SP are my go to blade so far but I have many more in my "everything" sampler to try

I'm a big fan of the Astra SP, as well. I can say that I've never had a bad shave with them. Great choice for your 100 pack purchase.

If you like the Astras - try Gillette Silver Blues

I chose the Astras after having tried a large blade sampler from West Coast Shaving...The only other blade I liked better was the one and only Personna Tungsten 74 I had, which gave me 20 shaves, but there's no way I'm shelling out $30 for 10 blades on the hope that they give me 20 shaves each...

I like the Astra SP, it seems to give me the smoothest first shave (they must have a coating). The Personna Lab Blue gives me super smooth shaves from shave 3 to shave 5.

Astra SPs are an awesome blade, dude (sorry but awesome and dude always work well together). I love all the gillette blades and don't think you can make a mistake with any of them.

No Problem dude. I love the Gillette line, however I had a bad experience with the 7'oClock Yellow's that I had in my sampler pack, left my face with a lot of weepers, and felt "scratchy" if that makes any sense. Maybe I had a bad batch, or an old box or something.

+1, I didn't like the yellows either

I wouldn't advise a beginner to start using the 7 oclocks...

The ASP have the best value-for-money ratio I know. I´ve tried a lot of blades in 17 years of wet shaving, but no blade (except Feather, but the price...) had such a good perfomance in every razor like the ASP.
