Geo F. Trumpers? Do you like it?

I find that the Trumpers Limes shave cream
and Limes skin food is great!! I never see any posts for it though. What do you guys think?? Are there other trumper products that you have tried???

I have a tub of their coconut and one of lime on the go at the moment, both great and provide very enjoyable and comfortable shaves :)

Cheers, Paul

The Lime is good but Castle Forbes Lime is SO much better. However,a terrific Trumpers cream is the Coconut. Not a pungent coconut scent but the lather is marvelous !!

I have a tub of Sandalwood, Almond and Rose on the go at the moment and really enjoy all of them. I have no interest in any other cream and intend to replace these with more GFT when they run out.

I also use the skin food daily as a post-shave & general moisturiser/conditioner

I have only used trumpers creams from the sample pack, I found all of them smelled excellent, but found the performance to be just ok. The skinfood however is just great in every way. If you have not tried the trumpers sample pack I highly recommend it!

No sooner did I write my previous post that I am now forced to eat my words.

I just received a new tube of Trumper Sandalwood Cream this evening. Production code on the box reads 1209, which according to posts I've read here and elsewhere likely means that it was manufactured in September of 2012. The big, wonderful, lush and almost smoky scent of Trumper's Sandalwood Shave Cream has now been muted beyond belief. I whipped up a small amount of my cream this evening and could hardly recognize the scent. The lather is fine, but the scent has been diluted and now has a noticeable soapy element that was not present previously.
I had stocked up on Trumper Sandalwood Cream when it was on sale back in 2010 or so and used the last tube a few days ago. I fished that tube out of the garbage tonight and cut it open, scraped the last bits of cream out of it and whipped it into lather to compare with the new cream. The scents aren't even close. The scent of 2012 cream literally pales by comparison with the older sample. If Trumper continues to cheapen their products I don't know how they will stay in business. i certainly won't be purchasing any more products from them until they have undone the damage that they've done to their soaps and creams.

Although I can't compare to the old formula, I got a sample and it doesn't smell anything like sandalwood to me, I was dissapointed to say the least.

Wow Craig, that's disheartening to hear. Of all the scents I've tried, GFT violet is hands down my favorite and the lather quality is one of the best I've ever had too. I hope when I order my tub of it that it will still have the same wonderful scent that the sample had.

Trumper Limes Skin Food is great. It is my favorite aftershave.

Trumper Limes Cologne smells great but lasts for about 1.000000001 x 10[sup]-1[/sup] second.

Taylor No. 74 Victorian Lime is a better choice as it lasts all day.

Thanks,
Mike

I used the coconut when I first started and then it sat in a draw for 9 months before I tried it again recently. With an improved lathering technique, I find it superbly slick, cushioning and moisturising.
