Geo F Trumper Eucris Shaving Soap

Just wondered if anyone has used the Geo F Trumper Eucris Shaving Soap?
I'm trying to decide on my first full puck of shave soap and have been thinking about the Eucris or the D.R. Harris Windsor shave soap

I have Eucris too. It smells great, and it isn't bad per se but it isn't great either. Windsor is fantastic. Performs brilliantly, smells even better

I dislike the smell greatly of Eucris. Smell before you buy!

I have the Eucris cream, and man, it does under-perform compared to AOS or even Speick.

Harris vs GFT soaps? No contest.

YMMV The only GFT soaps I have are Rose and Violet. I like the lather they produce but it's not very creamy. That's why I like it though. I don't like very cushiony lather. I prefer it thinner. I love the scent and the performance of the Eucris cream. The performance is better than the TOBS creams IMO. I find the DRH creams perform better than GFT Eucris and TOBS creams.

GFT Eucris: Great scent, sub-par performance. I wish a company like Mystic Waters or Mike's Natural Soaps could replicate that scent into their soaps so I could get a good shave with such a heavenly scent. Unfortunately, GFT's reformulation is not that good. DRH is much better. I haven't smelled Windsor yet, but the description sounds like it will smell nice. Unfortunately, I would have to take the DRH here.

I like the scent but have to be in the mood for it.

By itself, the performance is crap, but I superlather it with some unscented cream which works well.

+1, D.R. Harris trumps Trumper. I have both, and while I like the scent of Eucris, the lather is sub-par, and it's now a being used as a hand soap. I have 3 of the Harris (Arlington, Windsor, and Almond). All 3 are among my very favourite soaps, with Arlington being my favourite scent of all the soaps I have. You won't go wrong with a bowl of Arlington. Just my $0.02.

I do not have the Windsor but would agree to go with the Harris. I have the Eucris and get amazing shaves from it but I know how to lather it. Some people have a horrible time with it but it performs well. No not the best but good. I just love the scent too much and Eucris is my go to fragrance most of the time so that helps.

I have the Eucris soap, great scent but thats all. I mix it with some Eucris cream to get a good lather and keep the scent.
Windsor is on my to get list.

I have the eucris and while I love the smell, its performance can be beaten by anything including a bar of ivory soap. I usually super lather it with so proraso, and this works well, but does dilute the scent a bit.

Eucris smells like warm-death to me. The scent makes me have a feeling of impending doom. I also think that all of Trumper's current soaps are not worth buying, performance wise.

i've only tried Harris. I cannot recommend it enough. 5 months and barely a dent in her and she's in a 3 soap rotation.
superb conditioning qualities on my face and my brother,who grows a beard, says it does a great job of softening the hair.
I use and like the cheap arko as well and arko provides more of a glide. Harris conditions, provides a good layer for the blade to glide on, and smells great. I have the lavender (which I love as the smell is very calming) and its a great subtle smell, no too strong or chemically, just natural

I like the Eucris but prefer DR Harris soaps. However, I usually pick up my Arko stick.
