Those are scrapers - not meant for a face. Very different bevels.

Well, that explains the irritation.
Oh, I took it to the next step and experimented. The experiment was concluded in about 20 seconds.
Note to self: The blades from the paint department at Home Depot are unsuitable.
Shaving GEM blades are much thinner than scraping blades (makes sense). They have 3 bevels (generally) versus one or two on scrapers. Modern GEMS generally are coated, waste of money on a scraper.
