GEM/ Ever Ready dual branded Push Button - and streamline question.

I got this push button a few days ago (complete with the cardboard "blank"):

But as you can see it has the Ever ready brand in the head and the GEM logo on the handle. I'm no expert on these things (obviously), but I know that they were owned by the same company. However, I'm struggling to find any pictures of a push button (or other razors for that matter) with both the Ever Ready brand inside the head and the GEM brand on the handle.

Is this unusual?

Another recent purchase was what I think is an Ever Ready Streamline that I came across:

Have I managed to get hold of one of these beasts then?

The older one is a Streamline.

The Push-button Gem with the Ever-ready head I've seen before. It's not incredibly common, but it's not rare. I think perhaps it was part of an aborted plan to bring Ever-ready branded Push-buttons to market. The heads that they made were just bolted to Gem handles and sold like that.

Excellent info, thank you. I was just wondering as it seemed a bit strange. Would both of these parts have been made in the same factory then?

As far as the razor goes, it feels very nice in the hand. I haven't shaved with it yet but the weight feels good.

Thanks! That's good to hear - I saw your other post and that you had them both in your top 4! I've also got a couple of 1912s that I use as well so it looks like I'm sorted.

Just looking for an OCMM and Damaskeene after recommendations from another helpful member and I'll be happy. For a few days.

N.B: I was happy with the push button find as the american made razors seem to be harder to come across here in the UK. I see tonnes on the US ebay, but very few on the UK one.

Since a few of you are saying how nice this razor is, I thought it only right that I upload a couple more shots of it. Bear in mind that these were taken before cleaning and with pretty poor lighting (in the evening!).
