Fridour in Redwood Burl

I have had this 7/8 Fridour for a while, I wanted to put some more fancy scales on it and finally got the chance.
This is my first attempt at backing wood, I used black acrylic and stabilized Redwood Burl. The finish is Renwax, nickel silver pins stainless washers and white acrylic scales.

Although you can't see a great deal of them in the pictures I'd bet the acrylic liners look great with that shade of wood. Fantastic blade too.

Yes the lines are very thin and blend really nicely with the wood. I could not take better photos by hand , and did not have my tripod handy at that time.
