I didn't shave over the weekend, so it was really nice to wipe away three days worth of beard growth. Floid Blue after Jermyn Street is one of my favourite combos. I'll have to find a raplcement for the Floid when I run out of it (I have another bottle as backup for now).

Shave of the Day (SOTD) Merkur/Menthol Monday November 5, 2012

• Prep: Brush soaking in ice water, face washed with Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Anti-Blemish Cleanser, luke warm shower
• Razor: Merkur 500 Progress
• Blade: Gillette Silver Blue Stainless
• Brush: Semogue 620 Boar
• Soap: Proraso Menthol and Eucalyptus (tub) and Lea Mentholated Cream
• AS: Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue
• Post: Cold Water Rinse, Double Splash of Aftershave

As nice as the Proraso is after using the Lea Mentholated, nothing seems to provide the same freeze. Today I built an Überlather of using both the Proraso and Lea that provided a cooling level that was satisfactory for my taste.

First use of the Gillette Silver Blue Stainless in the Progress, and it did not disappoint. Another fine Russian made blade to add the to the arsenal.

As much as I love my open combs, I still have to give top honors to the Progress, I just love this razor.
