FrankenGillette...or maybe not...prolly not?

I found a ball-end silver Tech the other day, in overall fine shape, logo and all. Yesterday I found a fat handled Tech. Handle is very good but the head on it is totally shot. Swapped them out, and now the shiny ball-end head fits nicely on the fat handle and looks much nicer. The tone and shine of both match.

In Gillette's factory, was this head interchangeable with different handles? I assume for cost savings they would be, but...?

The Tech came with a couple of different handles depending on US or British versions.


All Gillette 3-pieces, and in fact 99% of all 3-piece razors period use the same thread size, so fraken razors come in many combos.
