Fountain Pen Trouble

You need to find out if this pen takes cartidges or comes with a converter. If it takes cartridges you can find the standard cartridges at Office Depot, etc. If it comes with a converter, you can purchase ink at Pen Paradise or on the internet.

Something like this is probably what you need, as your Hero pen probably has an aerometric filling system, and doesn't take cartridges. . These are Waterman fountain pen inks, which are highly reputable. I really like the Florida Blue. Try ebay; that's where I got mine.

Thanks guys. I'm almost positive it loads from an ink bottle, not a cartridge. I'm going to be looking for some ink bottles around town now

As far as I know, most of the Hero pens have the Aeromatic type filler so you will need bottled ink. Personally I wouldn't use anything else. Not a fan of cartridges as there are so few colours.

I'd second Noodlers ink but I have several other makes and they are all very useable. Diamine make a nice ink in many colours too. It's a British make so I don't know if it's readily available over there.

You should be able to find a bottle of something useable at any reasonable stationers.

Good Luck!
