Found the NEW BEST SOAP!

Been using a DE and a brush for 41 years now but last year a friend gave me a a tub of Col. Conks Bay Rum Soap and it's been my go shaving soap to ever since. I truly think it beats Proraso, MB's and all the other's I have tried from the recommendations on the B&B. When I received the soap from my friend I had absolutely NO IDEA what it cost, but after running out I found it on Amazon for $1.87 each. WOW!!!! economical too!

Yup, it's a nice soap. I have a few of the Col's soaps, and Bay Rum is also my favourite. Having said that, I do prefer Mama Bear and Mike's but as you mentioned, you can't beat the price on Col Conk.

I vaguely remember someone telling me col conk was the same stuff as VDH with a different scent.

I like its price, but since soap lasts so long, the cost/shave of a $10-12 puck really isn't much at all, so I don't give it much thought.

Conk Bay Rum is the slickest soap I've had so far.
