I used my Mach 3 today.
I know. I'm sorry. Anyhow I generally cut my own hair and follow up with a shave on the back of my neck. I have always done this and until I started wet shaving, really didn't pay attention to the irritation and burn. The last time I did it I used canned goo and still received irritation and burn. Today, I whipped up a small batch of Bigelow just to test the results. The results are as follows: I didn't get a weeper. I didn't get a nick. However I did get a whole lot of irritation and burn. The back of my neck was extremely red. I can only imagine what it would do to my face. And looking back on it, I'm not sure how I was able to withstand shaving. I used to always shave before taking a shower. I would do one pass wtg. I would shower but never put on any aftershave. Heck I didn't even own aftershave. No wonder my face was so red, blotchy, oily, and always had pimples. I am so glad my patience with paying the outrageous costs of cartridges wore thin enough to send me looking for alternative methods of shaving. More than that, I'm glad I found this forum that has helped and encouraged my new shaving regimen. I suppose despite the irritation and burn I'll continue to shave the back of my neck with it until I get comfortable enough to use one of my DE or SE razors.
