So I picked up an inexpensive ($20) disposable blade straight razor today to play with. I don't shave my face, just my head. Needless to say I was a little concerned jumping feet first, with my first experience with a straight razor being my noggin.
I've got to say, I'm intrigued. I managed not to lop my ear off, or remove any parts of my scalp that I've noticed yet. A bit of irritation on the back of my neck, but I think part of that was my lack of experience. Shaved less than 24 hours ago, and went straight to ATG. A few slightly rough patches, but I would say about 80% is smooth. And oh man how smooth it is. This is definitely something I'm going to pursue.
I do need to ind an alum block to try afterwords. I think that would pair well!!
