First shave with my new Gem Jr

Hello all

I had my first SE shave today and really enjoyed it, very smooth and only one nick.

I seem to get alot of irritation with any of the razors I use but I assume that is down to lack of preparation. I dont have a bowl or scuttle yet still waiting for the postman to deliver it.

Anyway here's a pic, apologies for the poor quality.

GEM SEs are great shavers and fun to use. Glad you like you Junior.

You can use a cereal bowl in the meantime, that's what I use when I bowl lather. Focus on getting the proper consistency and if you are not happy, start over. Soap is cheap. Be happy with your lather.

What I hAve taken to doing is loading my brush and working up my lather a bit, applying a preliminary lather to my face and letting that sit there while I finish whipping up my lather then remove the lather on my face with a hot towel and lather again. Seems to help with the whole hydrating and softening the facial hair thing.
