First shave with Gillette Travel Tech

Picked up a Gillette Travel Tech from razoremporium for $15 the other day. Looking up the date code, I believe it's from 1956. Condition appeared almost brand new.

Tried it out this morning and found it to be very mild, but got a very nice shave. The short handle will take some getting used to, but I like it!

I just started wet shaving about a month ago. Started with the Edwin Jagger EJ89 and loved it. Also recently picked up a Slim Adjustable (1966).

I picked up one off of ebay last week. It is from 1966. I found it to gave a very mild and smooth shave. I agree with the handle issue. I find 2 inches a bit small for my hands.

I really enjoy the travel tech head though I don't use the handle, I use one of many different handles available: UFO, BRW, Weber, Griest...or you can often use one from a 3 piece razor you already have, the Edwin Jagger handle should work. Sabi handles work really well too.
