First Shave w/ Gillette SS

I picked up a Gillette SS 58 TV Edition from a fellow B&B member and decided to take it for a test drive tonight. Paired it with a brand new Astra SP and the results were very mixed. Got a smooth shave, but had weeper city and minor irritation in some spots. I had been doing well with a Weishi/Feather so not sure what happened this evening. Perhaps I need to experiment with either a more aggressive or milder blade. Perhaps I'll try a Derby next time out.

The Weishi is a pretty mild razor. Nothing wrong with your SS+Astra at all. It's just a matter of a few more shaves until you get accustomed to the SS.

Used Derby this morning and had better results. No irritation with only a weep under my nose area which seems to be hit or miss for me no matter what I use to shave.
