I got my first bottle of ink today. And in typical addict fashion, promptly took a days old cartridge out and tossed it. Put the converter in, washed the pen with warm soapy water until I had no trace of ink. Set it on a paper towel to let the water wick out and dry. Opened my new bottle of Special Reserve Lake Placid Blue. Dipped my nib, twisted the stem. And didn't get any ink. So I dipped it a little deeper, tried again. Got a little ink, but not enough. Third times the charm! Filled it, blotted the nib, and smiled like the cat that ate the canary.
But I did get a bit of ink on my finger. How do you prevent that? I thought I was careful, but evidently not careful enough!
