First attempt at a Restoration

Hi,

Here are some photos of my first attempt at restoring T R Cadman & sons, Bengall, 5/8 (I think).

I used a combination of hand sanding and buffing on a wheel attached to a drill.

Next step is to make a new set of scales.

In my haste to get started I forgot to take a before picture, so the first photo shows a razor that si in a similar state to what I started with.

Good job mate, Ya cant go wrong with a Bengall or 20, You could probably restore those old scales, PM me if ya got any questions.

Very well done. How did you fix the drill in place so you could use it as a buffer? Just clamp the body in a vise?

Nice job Lynchy. Looks like you could spend just a little more time on a fine sand paper before you move on to the buffer wheel.
