Yesterday marked the first time I ventured outside eBay for razor hunting. I'm slowing a bit, having around 25 DE's and SE's now, all but the Merkur being vintage (first delivered Sept. 1st). There are a few examples I'm actively hunting. Didn't have a fat handled Tech, so I was happy when I spotted one (nickel plated) for a very reasonable price ($2.97).
It's pretty clean, no soap scum or crud, mostly just dirty (especially the top cap). Should clean up pretty well I think (no shine yet, I expect that'll change

So I know these were made from 1939 to 1973. This one carries no date code, which I presume dates it from 1939 to 1950? It also has the triangular slots in the blade tray, and I seem to recall that was a known date change, but can't find the thread I read it in. Does anyone have that info or have a link to check? The head also does not have the Gillette logo if that helps. Much appreciated!
