Finding a razor for my birth year.

I know, I know, I promised SWMBO that I was done, but my birthday is coming up and I've been good,,,,,,sorta.

I always wondered why folks were looking for specific date coded razors and now I know. I was was reading another thread that explained it all and now I am on the hunt.

Though looking at Mr. Razor's site, I might have already gotten one that is close.

I was born in Sept. 1939, and it looks like a gold, ball ended Tech that I have, could be dated to 1940, which is kinda close. Plus I found it myself at an antique store.

So, if I were to try and find a razor from 1939, what would I advertise for ?

A New, or some theme or variation thereof ... Check out the wiki the page
http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/NEW Unfortunately Gillette didn't put any date codes on razors between 1930 and 1949. Also the three piece Tech started production in '38, so you might want to look for one of those that doesn't have a date code.
Good luck in your search, having a birth year razor makes shaving on your birthday a little more special. The best place to start would be the B/S/T board.
