finally hit the 2nd round of blade pick ups

well, when i first started using a DE about 1.5-2 years ago, i did an initial try of blades. first were derby, followed by a sampler (with bluebirds, feather, shark, astra SP), along with gillette 7 o'clock blue/yellow, and PermaSharp Supers. running low on all of those, so finally decided to try some others, the Polsilver Super Iridium, more Astra SP & SS, and SuperMax Super Platinum...

my conclusions from that time frame are that:

1) i do not like Derbys
2) feathers are nice
3) sharks, bluebirds, and Gillette 7 o'clock blue are just OK
4) Astra SP surprised me so I got more
5) i love Gillette 7 o'clock yellow
6) i also love PermaSharp Supers
7) i'm excited to try new blades, because the SuperMax Super Platinum blade I've just shaved 3 times with was a very enjoyable blade
8) a small number of blades--relatively speaking--lasts a very long time

of course YMMV, but just thought i'd share some of my experiences.
