What's new

Finally got some Old Spice

I have been trying and either being outbid by change or the price was just outrageous on Ebay. I'll never understand people. In the last week I missed a Old Spice mug and soap for $43.00 being outbid because I thought it would run to the $70's. Next one I stayed in and bid giving up when it hit the $70's. Today I gave it another shot figuring I'd spend big or go home. Winning bid......$38. I will never understand what does or doesn't make people bid crazy amounts for stuff. I'm also glad I have some $$$ left for something else. Thanks for listening and Merry Christmas!

I was watching that auction, good price. I am not sure what makes the price vary so much, today's auction was for mug, soap and very nice shape box. I have seen the refill only go for twice that price with some auctions shooting up over $90.

If someone happened upon a case of OS refills and started auctioning them one by one, they would make a killing.

There are many products like that. Look at the lady in Argentina with all the Filly's. She will not sell more than one a week. (or whoever is bringing them to her). She's been selling them for a while. I'm sure theres someone sitting on cases of O.S from a closeout somewhere. They'll turn up in estate auction one day we'll see them.Other soaps too.

Another auction just ended today, mug with soap in the box, less than $19 plus shipping. You can never predict what Old Spice shaving soap will sell for.

I've been TRYING to stockpile this stuff ever since acquiring my first full puck with the mug for $6 at a local antique store. I love it. I'm just not willing to pay ebay prices for it.

I put a bid on it the other day before I won any. I ended up with that one too. I didn't notice at the time it had been slightly used . Thats why it went for less. I put what I thought were low bids on all of them hoping one would hit.I hope I do as well with the lottery.

I went to an antique mall in Redlands Ca last January and found 2 pucks of Shultons Tallow Old Spice for $20. I was like  when I saw a single puck for $108 on Ebay a few months ago...

The pucks I got were all dried up, but hydrated rather nicely in a mug, but sad to say there was virtually no scent left. They lathered VERY well though, so they were a great buy for me.

I would like to have that happen. When you just walk up on something and get it at for a real bargain. The guy at the antique store probably thought he was asking for all the money at $20 too. When you left he probably told everybody somebody just paid $20 for some dried up 50 year old soap and they all laughed. Meanwhile it was you who was the happy one.
