Finally Getting My Birth Year Razor

Well, I am just one day away from being a ripe old 46 years of age. I noticed an L2 code Tech on Ebay last night (not a place I prefer to buy razors, but that's where the opportunity presented itself).

Now, I'm an unrepentant Tech fan, so I really preferred a Tech for my birth year razor. And I have a 1967 with aluminum handle, which I love. So I couldn't resist this one for 13 bucks.

I don't know where the funky case is from. Does it look familiar to any of you fellas?

Anyhow, I'm pretty excited. This is the fifth Tech in my collection, and I look forward to trying it out. After all, it is (like myself, I hope) soon to be 46 years old and still fully functional!

Congrats!
I just got my K-3 1965 Slim off ebay too, so my days of searching are over!
(well, maybe.....)
(OK, I'm not fooling anyone, am I?)

Nice one! NOS?

My birth year is a 68 Balck handle SS with case. Looks good but shaves just too mild for me.

Stu...it's not NOS as far as I know (sure would be nice if it turned out to be, though). Yeah, Techs are mild, but I find that with an Astra SP I get a DFS++ with no irritation. I have a really nice EJ DE89 too, but I often get a couple of nicks when I use it; the Tech always leaves my face smooth and intact. Part of the issue is that I get up at 3 AM, and am too groggy to use anything but a mild razor.

That said, I do have my grandfather's blue-tip superspeed, which I cleaned and sterilized months ago. Believe it or not, I haven't ever tried it out!

Have the blue tip, IMHO a great TTO and mild razor. I use mine if I've had a little razor burn or a few spots come up. A nice shave. Enjoy the new to you Tech.
