Good afternoon all. I am new to this forum (about 15 mins), and have been wet shaving with a DE razor for 5 years now. I just purchased a Feather Stainless DS-R2 an love it. My question is, Is it normal for the handle to feel alittle loose as it threads on to the head. The fit of the threads on the head mating to the handle give it a bit of a wobble as I tighten it up. Not until the head snugs up to the handle does this "play" or "wobble" go away. Is this normal or did I unfortunately get one that slipped the quality inspections? Thanks for any feed back.

I am sure it is normal. Mine feels fairly loose until it gets to the base plate then feels quite snug as gets there. I think it is designed that way for ease of assembly as it does not take much torque to secure the cap and blade. And blade alignment is always spot on.

thanks for the info, it gives the best shave of all the razors I have had. because of the price I was a bit bummed by looseness as the head mated to the handle. mine too does snug up to a real good fit as the head meets the handle.
