Favorite Soaps

So I have a pretty good variety of soaps and creams, and rotate them all as much as possible for variety and mood of the day. But whenever I go back to my AOS Sandlewood soap, the shave, feel, scent and protection is just superior for me. I definitely get my closest shave with it. Then the other day I remembered my Conk's Almond that I rarely use for some reason, and realized again that it a close 2nd. I think if I had to live with 2 soaps now, I'd be happy with these. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes I use TOBS lavender and Sandalwood and DR Harris arlington. The three perform great for me , but my favorite is TOBS sandalwood , because of the scent - I love it !!

AOS Sandlewood is a great soap, but if I could only have two it would be Tabac for the cold months and GB Chilled for the warm months.

I agree that Conk soaps are good for any rotation...in your case...your current #2. I used to have Conk Bay Rum as my #2 but it began to dry my face out post shave and I had to break out the ASB to get the moisture back in my skin. I guess I am a tallow guy because my face just glows after a shave with Williams or Cella. Cella is now the go to with Williams as #2. I also recently acquired some ARKO and we will see if it bumps Williams out when I try it.

I do not have a ton of experience with soaps, but I have tried conk bay rum, almond, and glycerin. Of those three, conk almond seems to be far superior....although I will have to try the lime too!

My favorites are these vintages:

Hersheys Cocoa Butter (Vintage, unknown maker, Cocoa Butter scent)
English Leather (Vintage Avon w/ scent)
Williams Barber/Tonsorial/old Mug/Stick (Vintages, No scent (sad face) )

If I absolutely had to live with one soap, I'd take a lifetime supply of the Hersheys. It's my "Special occasion" soap.
