fatboy problem

I found a Fatboy in a yard sale and paid $2.00 but one of the doors is rusted shut, I'm guessing a razor blade was left in it.
The tto only moves less just a little and it is raise up a little. One door is free and but the other is just stuck in the closed position and won't move at all.
I've soaked it and nothing, scrubbing bubbles and nothing.

I thought of taking it apart but it is a G3 and has a compressed end.

Any help?

By the sound of it something in the TTO mechanism might be broken, or at least dislocated. Sorry to hear about that. If you post photos, someone might have an idea.

Maybe spray it with WD-40. I had a problem with a stiff turning mechism on a Rocket that was tight. The WD-40 unfroze after working it in .

Well I took it apart and what a mess. This thing was abused. It looks like the head was bent a little and one of the pivots on the T bar is broken off.
I'm calling it dead at this point. Not sure what parts are good but will hold onto it.

Was it worth $2.00. Yes, cheap fun.

All the parts should be worth salvaging, especially the spring.

TTO problems seem to be relatively rare, and for $2 I would have taken the chance that it would free up after soaking. Too bad it did not, but no great loss either.

Yes hold onto it for parts. That $2 razor now parts, down the line can save a much more expensive one that's imperfect.

The handle and adjuster seem fine. The push rod (not sure of the real name) is missing one of the pivots for the door (guessing unfixable). The rest of the head is bent in on one side (guessing I wouldn't be able to get it right).
Doesn't seem too much left but it goes in a drawer.
