Fatboy mechanism question

Good morning everyone,

When not using the fatboy and its resting is there a best dial setting so that theres no tention on the mechanism? is there a spring that moves up the plate?

There is no "rest" setting in the adjustable mechanism(nothing is under constant tension), so no, you don't have to change any settings to put it away, or store long term.:001_smile

As long as the compression spring is not suffering from an accumulation of "gunk" it doesn't matter. My experience has seen gunk solidify during storage when razors are stored "unlocked" (no compression) as well as "locked" (full compression.) I store mine with the lockdown only partially engaged, and have not had any problems with unlocking or relocking the doors upon subsequent use.
