Just bought this bad boy set for $30. Poor condition, but I was looking for one of these in my price range. What do you think? Fair price?

The inside and razor looks good! The outside of the case is in poor condition as you pointed out... I would think it was a fair price!
I think you did very well.
A complete cased set like that is harder to find, the interior looks in good shape. The exterior is almost always in bad shape.
Hard to tell the color or condition of the soap and brush holders, though. If the holders are silver, then the razor probably isn't original to the case. Should be easy to remedy that though.

Okay, yea that's true about the razor not being original. They're definitely silver. The razor looks a little junky anyway...has a hairline crack apparently. What razor would be an original in this case?
Probably a silver-plated single ring. Around 1914. From looking at Waits and Krumholz.
A good buy as the set has most of the components, even if they are somewhat mismatched.
I´m not sure, but I mean, in this set comes a tube handle razor, not a ball end handle razor.
