I debated whether or not to put this here or under aftershaves and (obviously) elected to place it here.
I always use alum and alcohol-based a/s following my morning shave. In the evenings, I wash my face, clean further with witch hazel, then apply some kind of moisturizer. I do so because it seems to work for me and I recently noticed a similar routine recommended by a T&H "master barber" on Mantic's blog:

I'm wondering if others do something like this and, if so, what products do you use for moisturizing? I am using my a/s balms and conditioners:
Hydrolast Peppermint: wonderful product in a tub (kind of like hand cream)
T&H 1805 Balm
QED Toner/Conditioner: a shaving "best buy" that is (sadly) no longer available.
Proraso Balm: another "best buy"
I also have some Musgo Balm (unopened) and Institute Karite (en route).
