Evolution of an ingrown?

A couple of days ago I got a painful ingrown hair on my neck. I (think) I tweezed it out. Now, in the spot where I had an ingrown hair, I seemed to have developed a lump underneath my skin. Its not bright red and painful like it used to be, just a kind of light red lump thats starting to creep me out. Any suggestions?
