My dad picked me up a pair of SE razors from the local flea market. Unfortunately I'm interning in the oilfield and haven't got a shot at them. One is a gold colored EverReady and the other is a Gem 1912. I know from B&B they're both 1912's but is there any difference in performance? These are my first SE's so any thoughts are appreciated.

I've got Gem, Ever-Ready and Star brand 1912's and can't tell any difference between them.
The are pretty much the same.
What they said...with one small caveat. British made Ever Ready 1912's seem just a tad more aggressive than their American made counterparts. I feel this way and it has been brought up on a few threads by others so I am not alone. I like the way the Brits shave a little better given a choice in 1912's. These are probably both American made in which case, I can't tell the difference either.
